Fees and Funding Options
The standard fee for a 50-minute individual therapy session is $240. Clients referred under a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) from their General Practitioner are eligible for a Medicare rebate of $145.25, reducing the out-of-pocket cost to $94.75 per session. Up to 10 Medicare-rebated sessions are available per calendar year under the MHCP.
Professional Supervision
The fee for a standard professional supervision session is $240. This applies to supervision provided to provisional psychologists, clinical psychology registrars, and fully registered psychologists. Please contact the practice to discuss supervision needs and availability.
Alternative Funding Options
Fees may vary depending on the funding source. This can be discussed prior to the initial appointment.
Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA):
DVA referrals are accepted with no out-of-pocket cost when accompanied by a valid GP referral.WorkCover Queensland:
WorkCover QLD referrals are accepted. Sessions are fully funded, with no out-of-pocket expenses for the client.National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS):
While Next Chapter Psychology is not a registered NDIS provider, clients with self-managed or plan-managed NDIS plans can access services. There are no out-of-pocket expenses for clients using eligible NDIS funding.Private Health Insurance:
Many private health insurance providers offer rebates for psychological services. Clients are encouraged to check with their health fund to confirm eligibility and rebate amounts.
Please note: Medicare rebates and private health insurance rebates cannot be claimed for the same session.

Cancellation Fees:
Cancellation fees may apply for late cancellations or missed appointments. These fees are not covered by Medicare, private health insurance, or third-party funders.Report Writing and Correspondence:
Any requested reports, letters, or formal correspondence may incur additional private fees, which will be discussed with the client in advance.
